Ralphs Falls in the Mt Victoria Forest Reserve is yet another of Tasmania’s spectacular waterfalls. At 100m in height, it is taller than its neighbouring St Columba Falls, however, because water flow is often very limited on Ralphs Falls, St Columba wears the crown of tallest falls in Australia. Despite that, in many ways Ralphs Falls, plummeting in one major single stream down a sheer cliff face, is quite a dramatic sight, particularly after heavy rain.

There is a choice of two walks to the falls. The first is a direct return walk of 1.2kms (20mins), or you may choose to do the 4km circuit. The walk is graded at Level 2, suitable for most levels of fitness, however there are 25-steps with a handrail. The falls can be viewed from a lookout platform.

Sun protection and clothing suitable to the day’s weather are recommended. Children should be supervised at all times, particularly on the viewing platform.

While in the area, it is recommended that you stop in Ringarooma and visit the church/information centre and museum and learn a little about the colourful local history.

Park fees DO NOT apply.

Leashed dogs are welcome. Firearms and bicycles are forbidden.

There are toilet and picnic facilities at the car park.

Vehicle Access:
Travel on C423 from Ringarooma and follow the signs to the Mt Victoria Forest Reserve and Ralphs Falls. Coming from Pyengana the turn-off to Ralphs Falls is sign posted prior to reaching St Columba Falls. Both towns are on the C423.
